Information & Prices

  • The recommended minimum age to have a photograph taken is 9 years old, but please speak to us if you have a slightly younger child and are interested.

  • It usually takes between 10 and 20 minutes to get a good photograph.

  • You should not have a photograph taken if you have been medically advised to avoid bright lights. If you suffer from epilepsy, please speak to us about this.

  • We usually only photograph one eye per person. If you wish to have both eyes photographed, the price will be the same as for 2 people (see below).

  • If you wear soft contact lenses, we will need you to remove your lenses and we have one-time-use contact lens holders and solution available. Hard contact lenses or glasses should not be worn.

  • Eye make-up and/or false eyelashes can significantly reduce the possibility of obtaining a clear photo, as can the wearing of painted/false nails (due to reflections if asked to gently hold your eyelids open) – please avoid wearing all of these.

  • Dark eyes (brown/black) are much more difficult to photograph – we will do our best (these usually take a bit longer) but there is no guarantee that we will be able to take a photograph of suitable quality.

  • Please read the FAQs further down this page for additional information!

  • There are two options for receiving your printed and framed image...

Collection

Collection options can be discussed at the time of booking. There is a £10 reduction in price if items are collected.

Post

This will be the standard service offered during  2025. We will post out your item to any UK address, between two to four weeks after having your iris photograph taken. The prices shown below include this service.

We can also post out to Europe and Worldwide (enquire for prices).

Express Service

If you need your item in a hurry, we can offer an 'express service'. There is a small surcharge for this, depending upon how busy we are, how many people it is for and how quickly you need the item (between one and ten days) - please enquire at the time of booking.

FAQs

Contact Us
  • When and where are you open?

Click on the 'Contact Us' button above, to link to the page with this information.

  • Do I need to book an appointment?

Yes, appointments always need to be booked in advance during 2025, unless we are attending an event. Appointments are subject to a deposit (£10 per person). This deposit will be deducted from the final cost of your item. The deposit is non-refundable for no-shows, or in the event of cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled booking time. Bookings which are re-scheduled more than 48 hours in advance (to a new date within two months) will have the deposit transferred to the new booking date/time.

  • Can all eyes be photographed successfully?

No. In addition to the possible issues mentioned in the information box above, if you are unable to use the head/chinrest, remain still and look forwards, then it will not be possible to photograph your eye. Also, if we are unable to see the whole iris (coloured part of the eye), even when asking you to gently hold your eyelids open, then we may only be able to create a partial image. We are successful about 95% of the time. In the event that we are unsuccessful, any deposit paid will be refunded (up to 2 people), but no additional costs or expenses will be covered.

  • Do you use a flash?

No, although we do use bright lights.

  • How accurate will the image be?

The photograph will be edited, including reducing reflections, cropping and placing on a black background and colours may not appear exactly as expected. For example, if you have green eyes, do not expect the image to appear green - we can let you know why! We would estimate that the image is usually around 95% accurate.

  • Are you able to spot any medical issues or perform iridology?

No, we are deliberately not offering these services. This is purely about the art and to give you the opportunity to see the detail in your eye as you'll probably have never seen it before!

  • Can you provide printed images without the frame?

We offer a simple, cardboard framed image (two sizes available, with the smallest version costing £50 for an individual image - based on the item being posted). We also offer two sizes of clip frames, which have a glass front to enhance the image.

  • Can you provide digital images/copies?

Yes, these can be purchased. The prices are as follows: £50 per iris image when purchased without any other item (i.e. for a 'digital only' copy), £35 per iris image when purchased with a printed, cardboard framed image or just £25 per iris image when purchased with any other framed image.

  • Do you offer a ‘same day’ service?

No, unfortunately not. It can take up to 2 hours to do the editing, printing and framing (per iris image) and we pride ourselves on taking time to do this properly. If you need your item quickly, please enquire about our 'express service' options.

  • Can you merge two photos together for couples?

Not at this time, but we are still hoping to be able to offer this at some point. Follow us on Facebook/Instagram to keep in touch!

  • Can you post my framed image to me?

Yes, this is the standard offer during 2025. We post to anywhere in the UK. We can also post to Europe and Worldwide although this can be very expensive (please enquire for prices). However, please note that you will be responsible for paying any additional income duties/taxes that may be applied by the Customs authorities in your country. 'Digital only' copies would be recommended if you live outside the UK.

  • Can I provide a photograph of my own eyes for you to work from?

No, this is a technical process, requiring specialised equipment and requiring customers to be present to have their iris photographs taken.

  • Do you travel to anywhere else?

We attend very occasional 'pop up' events. Please let us know in plenty of time if you have any recommendations for events that we can attend.

  • Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes - please enquire for details.

  • I've been given a gift voucher, how do I redeem it?

Just get in touch via the Contact Us page and arrange an appointment to come to see us before the expiry date. Please let us know when booking that you are redeeming a gift voucher and quote the voucher number on the reverse of the voucher (or the name on the voucher if it was emailed to you). Remember to bring the voucher with you on the day of your appointment. If you choose an item/s that are more expensive than the voucher, you can simply top up the rest when you come to have your iris photos taken. If you choose an item/s that are less expensive than the voucher, a replacement voucher will be issued for the remainder of the balance.

  • How will you use my data/image?

The image may be used for promotional purposes, sometimes alongside your first name, age (if under 18) and home town/city. For images taken on or after 12th June 2022, or prior to 12th June with your consent after this date, the image may also be used, anonymously, on retail products. Your personal information will be kept securely and will NOT be shared with any other organisations at any time. Our full privacy policy can be accessed via the button below.

  • I have another question!

No problem, just get in touch via the button below and we'll be happy to help!
